Album Sleeve

Outer Sleeve

The final album sleeve, adapted from distorted imagery from inside a cathedral. The aim was to present the aesthetic of typical 80's neon style graphics through while keeping the link to the 'Saturday Mass' theme which was taken from link between Sunday mass and the crowds at Larry Levans sets being called the Saturday Mass.

Inner Sleeve

The inner sleeve won't be glued together so that it can fold out into a small poster and be displayed. The bottom half has been taken from the outer sleeve design, and the top half is type built from the layout of of the club scene in Chicago, where soulful-house is most prominent, and where Larry Levan often played. The sleeve will be print on news print so that it is easy to fold and unfold into the poster form and vinyl sleeve holder.

Vinyl Label

Inner label made from a close up of segment of the inner sleeve design. This vinyl doesn't have any type on it except the inner sleeve, as the aesthetic of the cover is one that it already complex enough on it's own, and would only felt overly crammed if type was to be place on it.
